Pause game play and press B, A, B, A, Left, Up(2).
New weapons:

Pause game play and press C, A, Left(2),
Down, A, Down repeatedly until the sound
of the orb weapon stops. Press Start to resume game play
as a Fireant. Repeat this code to transform into the Shield Bug.
Note: Playing the bonus rounds as a Shield Bug will result in
invincibility.
