Cheats for Steel Battalion

Voice select option

Beat the game on Veteran difficulty. You'll find the Voice Select at the Configuration menu.

Movie viewer

Beat the game on Normal difficulty. You'll find the Movie Viewer at the Configuration menu.

Desperado difficulty setting

Beat the game on Veteran difficulty.

Lower mech

Beat the game on Desperado difficulty. Press Hatch + Start during play to lower your mech.

Remove HUD

Get rank of Lieutenant Colonel. Then, press Ignition + Start during play.

Juggernaut mech

Get to rank to Colonel.

Rapier mech

Get ten decorations.

Pause Trick

To pause the game, disconnect the controller from the port. When you gotta go, you gotta go, even if you are piloting a tank with legs.

Unlock the Hidden VT

Play Mission 7 or 17. As you enter the second floor of the base, head into the small room on the left. Kill the enemy inside and you will find a box in the back of that small room. You will receive a transmission if you earned the box. Clear the stage and the Hidden VT will be unlocked.

Unlock the Second Hidden VT

Earn 800000 Command Points and the Second Hidden VT will be unlocked.

Unlock the Third Hidden VT

Earn 10 medals and the third Hidden VT will be unlocked.

Unlock all VT's and Missions

This cheat unlocks all the available VT's and missions, but is tricky to pull off. On the title screen, set your tuner dial at position 0 (the 9 o'clock position). Before the music ends, move the dial to postions: 0,1,9,7,9,0,9,0,6 keeping the dial in each position for one second. Correct code entry will be confirmed with a sound.

Unlock Full screen Mode

Get 55,000 Command Points to unlock Full Screen mode.
